Light of the World

There's a bin with a light glow under,
The rest of the room is very dark.
When you lift up the bin,
It's like looking at a healthy green tree under its bark.
Alive, Prosperous, beautiful,
Why should it be hidden?

Bark has a purpose;
A light under cover does not.
A tree without bark would rot;
While a light without cover would do a better job.
A tree without bark dies;
A light without cover stops the cries.

A tree with bark can live;
A light under cover cannot give.
A tree with bark is beautiful;
A light under cover is regretful.
A tree with bark is blessed;
A light under cover is useless.

A tree is gorgeous;
So are our lights.
Our lives should be luminous.
Trees don't hide their beauty;
Why should our light be?
We are the light of the world;
Don't stay in the darkness.
